Skogafoss is one of the most iconic and recognizable waterfalls in the world. I waited for this moment, until a person stood in front of it to show the scale. Black and white conversion with NIK Silver Efex Pro.
Nikon D200, Nikon 12-24mm @ 17mm, 1/1500 sec, f/7.1, ISO 200. The fall is so high and the water falls so fast that a longer exposure is not required to show the silkiness of the flow.

Wow! perfect to have that person in front of the gorgeous waterfall! And looking up at it was the cherry on top. And I love the black and white - great job! I have been to Iceland twice and both without group. Driving there is very easy. There is one road that goes around the island and Reykjavik is a relatively small city. If you are solo, I recommend you drive yourself to take the time for stops along the way. One terrific thing about Iceland are the horses. You'll see them along the way. They are friendly and easy to photograph. They are very beautiful. You can do day trips out of Reykjavik or stay overnight in one of the small towns but there are few hotels and they sell out. Thanks. i'm going for a small conference and I'm taking two or three days to drive around the peninsula myself before the conference and after the conference wanted to go down south to the south coast. So you recommend driving on the south coast as well? Maybe staying in Vik? I'm a little more hesitant because I'll be driving all by myself. I'm a good driver and the roads are good, but it's more fun with other people. Still, I like the Adventure and the flexibility of driving in my own. I will definitely look for those horses!
