October 2026 - Valley of Fire Guard Dog
About the Image(s)
Why I took this image:
Carolyn and I were recently in Las Vegas for the annual PSA Photo Festival and made our own Valley of Fire tour when the regular tour was canceled. During that tour I saw this rock formation that looked very much mike a guard dog or maybe even a bear. Our tour guide also showed us Elephant Rock, but I had a hard time appreciating the resemblance.

Nice capture of the "Guard dog". It looks like a dog to me. You caught it at a good angle. Good color and contrast in the rock. Nice. Posted: 10/10/2026 13:18:56
