About the Image(s)

I mucked around with this photo for a considerable time in an effort to minimize or even eliminate the color casts without success. I used no filters but played around with the LR sliders. In fact I have many photos taken of this iceberg and all have this reddish and blueish tint. As I recall it, this is the good representation of the bergs color. Incidentally, this photo was take on the same day and one hour before my last months submission. This photo was shot at ISO 400 at 1/3000 sec. at f 8.0 from the ship.
This image was taken from deck 7 of our ship which will give you some idea of its size particularly recognizing that 90% is below the surface of the water. As I recall, the berg is about 250 yards from the ship.

I have never seen an iceberg! An amazing image with good lighting. It is still hard for me to imagine the size, but I guess 7 decks up puts the viewer right in the middle! The shadows add to the structure. Nice to have captured the blue ice on the sunny side!   Posted: 05/15/2021 12:51:39
