Captured on the final evening of the PSA Photo Gathering in Sri Lanka,
this silhouette was shot handheld (resting against a pole for
stability) at ISO 100, f/5, with a 0.4-second exposure. During a
peaceful beach stroll near our hotel, I encountered this magical
sunset moment - the couple on the bench framed against the colorful
horizon.

I love the colors. I love the people and the moment.
Attached is the composition that I see. Yes poorly executed image but you get the idea of seeing the space that the people are looking at.
This is simply my personal preference.

This is a very pleasant scene, it kind of feels like a greeting card. I prefer Rizwan's final crop out of all of them. It puts the people near the LL power point and the presumed object of their attention near the RU PP. I don't know that this will succeed in competition, but it does contain recognizable landmarks so it's worth entering once or twice to see what happens.

It is a very peaceful image and has very nice colors. The couple enhances the scene. Rizwańs second image is the one that works best for me.
Interesting that this month there 2 images with embedded portraits - I have several of those but had thought they were not appropriate for this group. So great news. Posted: 04/17/2025 16:19:53
