June 2025 - Natural Spheres
About the Image(s)
These are the Moeraki Boulders near Dunedin in the South Island of New Zealand. They are really amazing natural structures as they can reach 2 meters in diameter and have almost perfect spherical shapes. They are scattered along the shore in various sizes. Truly a geological marvel. And of course there are Maori legends attached to them. As with the image last month I did not have a great camera at the time nor much experience with photography. Comments will useful for future opportunities.
Shot with Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xti
25 mm (lens EF 18-55 f/3.5-5.6)
1/320 sec at f/18 ISO 400
In Lightroom adjusted exposure slightly and dehazed.
