About the Image(s)
This is an image of the Forth Bridge that connects Edinburgh and Fife.
It was completed in 1890 and is a groundbreaking cantilever bridge
across the Firth of Forth about 9 miles west of Edinburgh. It is considered
a symbol of Scotland and it is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It is an outstanding example of 19th century
engineering. It is 8094 feet (2.47 km) long and it is still in service for
trains. There are 2 newer bridges parallel to it for car traffic.
I like this particular shot because of the reflection of the red steel in the river
and also because it frames the town on the right and the hill on the left.
I also I caught a train crossing on it.
Shot with Canon R5.
70 mm (lens RF 24-70 f 2.8 L IS USM)
1/250 sec at f/16 ISO 400 Handheld
In Lightroom adjusted exposure and dehired.
