ISO 400, f/11, 1/1600. Shot Handheld with a Tamron 24-70mm lens on a
Nikon D800 at 24mm. In northern Alberta, summer brings beautiful
canola fields that stretch for miles. Their bright yellow flowers
create a stunning view that’s hard to miss. In this photo, I saw a
patch of clouds in the sky and stopped to take a picture.

A nice image that is technically well executed. For me the visual weight is on the sky and not the canola field. You can find many examples of these fields on the web. This may give you some ideas on how to elevate this image. As you said you were drivng and just stopped to take a photo. I like the anchor in the center of the photo and wish for even a more clear and stronger focus anchor. Posted: 08/07/2025 07:46:06
