November 2025 - Edmonton at Night
About the Image(s)
ISO 80, f/11, 30s. Shot with Nikon 70-200mm lens on a Nikon D850 supported by a tripod. Shot from top of the hill to show the full arc of the bridge and the city in the background. I used slow Shutter Speed to capture light trails from moving vehicles and allow ambient city lights to register fully.

I like the idea of this image. You used a long exposure on a tripod. I wondered how long? How did you set your f stop? What iso setting was used? If your intent was to capture moving car light trails, you were successful. For me, the bridge acts as a leading line and would be better placed on the left side of center.   Posted: 11/13/2025 23:41:10
You captured a very lovely cityscape at night. The bridge is definitely the focal point and I love the river of red lights. I tried to decide if you should take it out of dead center, but you would lose much of the skyline if you did that.
IMO, if you cropped at all it would be from the right to keep the diagonal skyline in tact. Also it would eliminate the slightly distracting green lines on the building at the edge.
I like the negative space in the bottom left.   Posted: 11/14/2025 09:47:59
