About the Image(s)

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix was celebrated this past weekend by racing Indy cars around a closed circuit course in the heart of Washington DC. Tickets were free and allocated by lottery. I attended both days and I wanted to capture the family atmosphere surrounding this event. I captured this image with my OM1 Mark2 and 12-40mm II f2.8 lens set at f5.6, iso 400 and 26mm (52 full frame equivalent). The image was imported into LR and profile set at adobe landscape. The sky was masked and slightly dehazed. Image was straightened and cropped to 16 x 9 aspect ratio to emphasize the range of activities on a broad view. The US Capitol in the background places the image in Washington DC.
