About the Image(s)

The image was made a few years ago at the Chandra Taal in Spiti valley of Himachal Pradesh State in India. It is at an altitude of about 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in the Himalayas. A large number of tourists visit this area the whole year.
When I visited this lake on a bright sunny day, I saw someone sitting alone on its banks as if enjoying the serenity. When I looked towards that, the red hat drew my attention and to me it was a lady, relaxing and enjoying. I silently walked closer and made this image from her back.
Technical specifications:
Camera Nikon D800
Lens Nikon 70-200 mm f/2.8
Aperture f/11. Shutter speed 1/200, ISO 100, Focal Length 200 mm
Neither tripod nor any filter were used.
I processed the image in Topaz DeNoise AI and PS.

Subhash, you could not have asked for a better "natural" prop for your image. Without the lady with the red hat, the image would just be a flat landscape with not much color, almost monochrome. She made a snapshot into a great image   Posted: 09/15/2022 13:12:02

I totally agree with Isaac, that red hat just commands attention - and is the ideal contrast to the landscape.   Posted: 09/22/2022 16:20:27
