About the Image(s)

Not long after a major fire swept through the Mojave Desert National Preserve, I took a photo (in 2021) of this stand of burned Joshua Trees. It will take awhile for them to repopulate as the dirt was sterilized by the hot fire.
We visited the Mojave this spring, but a bad drought is taking its toll on all the vegetation and we didn't stop at this exact spot to see how it was faring.

I used a Canon Rebel 77D, 1/13, 1/320, ISO 200, 28mm.
