July 2026 - Bison in Wyoming
About the Image(s)
The U.S. Great Plains used to have 30-60 million bison that are now replaced with cattle. Therefore it is unusual to actually see bison in the U.S. west, making this field a photo stop for many tourists. However, even now livestock bison far outnumber wild bison. These bison are likely livestock, not wild. However, they do make a nice photo, taken in northeast Wyoming USA this June.
Americans often call them buffalo, but they are actually bison. Asians will recognize the differences.
