The photo is from a village in Uttarakhand of India. The region is of Himalayan mountain range. The weather is cold. There, these village people have the habit of sitting / strolling in the sun. They believe that, especially for small children,the sun bath is a must to make their bones strong & this is a peculiar style of carrying children in those mountain regions
