I’m fielding another landscape from Greenland this month. Looking through the images from the 5 days in August I was there and particularly those taken within the fiord at the very south that flows from west to east, I have a number of landscapes that I particularly enjoy.
We were lucky as cruise ships very often travel from east to west, but we started at sunrise from the west, where the highest cliffs are (up to 1,200 metres) and some almost Dolomites in their shapes. This was taken about 1/2 hour post sunrise. There are some glaciers visible in this area.
We were also lucky as the passage only became free from ice flows some 6 days earlier.
Originally an iPhone image taken in Raw (underexposing by 2/3 stops) and transferred to my computer as a TIFF, then developed in Lightroom working on the three areas of sky, mountains and water individually.

A wonderful location and landscape Adrian. Once again, it looks like phone camera are not too far for providing same results (at least for posting images on the net) of more expensive and heavy cameras. The image convey a feeling of calmness and isolation. As usual, I have my opinion on if this would qualify for travel, but in this context it doesn't matter because I really love your image.
best

Adrian, This is an excellent, dramatic panorama (I assume that it is not a cropped version of another image). The three areas that you processed individually are very well done. I find no fault with any of the post-processing.   Posted: 10/24/2024 01:06:29

Many thanks Nancy - as it happens my original pano is as here (same development) - I decided (rightly or wrongly) that this was too wide.   Posted: 10/25/2024 09:28:55

Adrian, the originla pano to me is even better. I like the way the mountain from the left and the right create a symmetry.
best wishes

Thanks Michele, I appreciate your opinion and having looked at it again today to post it here, I also like it! I still worry about the width - I certainly need the peaks on the right.   Posted: 10/25/2024 12:26:42
