About the Image(s)
This image was made during my recent trip to northern Vietnam. We were in the home of these lovely people in the town of Bac Ha. The people are from the Flower Hmong ethnic minority and were wearing their traditional clothing, which they wear most of the time. The clothing is specific to this tribe and identifies the picture as having been taken in northern Vietnam.
Sony a6400 APS-C camera with a 24mm (36mm equivalent) f/1.8 lens, 1/125”, f/2.2, ISO 5000. Minimal post-processing to adjust the RAW photo.
The auxiliary photo shows some of the aftermath in Hanoi of typhoon Yagi, a devastating once in 50 year typhoon which hit northern Vietnam during the final days of my trip there. Over 200 people were killed, and many more injured or missing, by floods, landslides and the collapse of s heavily trafficked bridge. Our local guide contacted some of the families we had visited and fortunately, they all survived.

All are sharp and well lit. Your image shows an interesting story. It's an image I would love to have!
Your extra image. So sad. More and more places and their people are suffering from floods. This will probably get worse too.   Posted: 10/21/2024 13:09:54
