Constanta Cathedral by Stan Bormann, FPSA, MPSA

January 2026 - Constanta Cathedral

About the Image(s)

Shot with an iPhone 14 Pro on 10/13/24 at 1/2500 sec, f/1.8, 6.86mm, ISO 80. This cathedral is built on the shore of the Black Sea. The rubble in the foreground is from historic buildings, this is basically the first city on the Black Sea, so this rubble could be very old.

The so-called rubble in the foreground looks to me like inviting stone walls and paths that lead the viewer to a very beautiful cathedral, all of which you captured so well. Excellent composition, color, and contrast. Nice work, once again, Stan.   Posted: 01/06/2026 23:25:29

Stan,

The stone walls in the foreground create a strong triangular shape and contrast well with the green of the grass. I think the partial leaves on the top left side of the image create some distraction. You can clone them out (I know this is not allowed for travel image) or you could have more of it so that it could create a frame. I also think the tower on the right is too far from the right border compare to the left. I guess this would be fixes if you included more of the tree on the left. Just my 2 cents thought.

best wishes
