In April I did a five day workshop with Mollie Isaacs and Awake the Light. The theme was Tulip Time and the place was Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. I live 14 miles from there so I quite often. I took a lot of photos of flowers that I am pleased with, but I am always looking for something different that usually involves people.
Since I have back issues, I am grateful for all the benches at Longwood. I saw this young boy hiding with his mother in the distance. I like the story it tells and got it because I was sitting and people watching!

Esther, this is a cute photograph, but it doesn't belong in the photo travel division. It could have been shot anywhere, and tells us nothing about travel. Your f-stop setting certainly blurred out anything but the young boy, but parts of him are also not in focus. Maybe f/5.6 better than F/4.0? Lighting was adequate. Posted: 05/11/2024 09:52:01
Esther, this is a cute photo and possibly would fit better in PJ but it does not belong in photo travel since it has no sense of place. I would love to take one of Mollie's workshops sometime. Posted: 05/11/2024 11:29:01

Thanks and yes, you are right that this is not a travel image. I'll have to get on my old iMac and find some images from my years of travels. I am doing photography workshops in this country now and I really enjoyed the one in April at Longwood Gardens, a favorite place.

I'm not sure how this qualifies as a travel photo. I like the boy's pose, but my immediately goes to the bright, out-of-focus lady in the left background. Posted: 05/19/2024 13:18:36
