I was in Africa in July 2011. This is one elephant of many that were in the area. Taken with my D90 and 18-400 at 250mm ISO800, 1/125, f6.3

Rich, this is a nice picture of an elephant, but I don't think it qualifies as a Photo Travel image. It really doesn't tell us anything about place, as although it is an African elephant, it could have been taken in a zoo instead of Africa. Posted: 09/13/2024 09:45:09

This is a nice portrait of an elephant and I love the texture of his skin. The damaged tusk tells us that he has been through some hard times. There is probably not enough information in the photo for photo travel.

I love elephants and have ridden them in Thailand and FL. The detail is excellent and shows the tough hide. I agree with the others that this does not show enough to be photo travel. Posted: 09/23/2024 14:42:30
