This image was taken with my cellphone in 2022 of a former defensive gate built in Bordeaux, France on the site of an ancient defensive gate. This gatehouse honored King Charles VIII's conquest of the Kingdom of Naples (Italy). We didn't know it but it is apparently open to people who want to climb the stairs for the view of the waterfront.
