About the Image(s)

Thiksey Monastery and Indus Valley view, Ladakh, photographed last summer with Canon EOS XTi and Tamron EFS 10-24 mm f/3.5-4.5 IS USM lens @10 mm, f/22, 1/50 sec.ISO:200. Situated at 11,800' (3600 m) altitude in the Indus valley, the 12-storey Thiksey monastery complex is affiliated to the Gelug (yellow hat) school of Mahayana Buddhism. This is the same monastery as in my January image:
