This huge church dominates the skyline of Reykjavik and I arrived here immediately after visiting my June submission - Sun voyager. By 9.30am the sun had passed the main facade, but I made the most of light falling on the lower columns at the left hand side - as well as the south facing exterior of the building. Exposure was critical to keep detail in the interesting clouds as well as the textures of the masonry.
