About the Image(s)

The photo is captured at one procession / celebration. Slow shutter speed was opted to capture the speed of rings. Of course, the shot was hand-held & I wanted to capture the viewers sharp, so there was a limitation to reduce the shutter speed.

Exif : F8, 1/30, ISO 200 Canon R6, with 24-105 lens

Interesting shot. Just wondering, most of the crowd is behind the dancer. How did you manage to get in front of her?   Posted: 10/03/2024 15:12:40

Thank you for good words. The public had gathered in circle to watch her. I was sitting on the floor at front side of her, exactly like the photographer in the frame, but opposite side of him   Posted: 10/05/2024 01:46:10

Vinaya, great vantage point, and very good capture with the dancer and spectators sharp, and the rings showing motion. Very good timing.   Posted: 10/03/2024 17:27:37

The image tells a story. In addition, the colorful clothes (the dancer's pants, the green saris, the red t shirts) all make this a lively scene. The expression in the dancer's face is full of fun and confidence in her performance. Consider tightening the crop as shown to reduce the clutter on the left.   Posted: 10/12/2024 11:44:00

I agree with Tom. The only thing missing is a belly button ring   Posted: 10/18/2024 17:02:27
