About the Image(s)

The Ciudad Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World City) It is located at San Antonio parish of the canton of Quito, 26 kilometers (16 mi) north of the center of Quito. The grounds contain the Monument to the Equator, which highlights the exact location of the Equator (from which the country takes its name) and commemorates the eighteenth-century Franco-Spanish Geodesic Mission which fixed its approximate location; they also contain the Museo Etnográfico Mitad del Mundo, Ethnographic Museum Middle of the Earth, a museum about the indigenous people culture of Ecuador.
The image was created from the East side of the monument and showing the separation between the Northern and Southern hemisphere of the world. Used a Nikon D4 with the Nikkor zoom lens 28-300 mm f/3.5-5.6 @ 28 mm and these settings: ISO 640, f/10 and 1/1000 sec. The resulting image is a Pano of 2 images stitched in LightRoom where the image was PP and cropped.
