This old city in an oasis in the middle of the desert at the foot of the Atlas mountain range was made famous by “Game of Thrones.” My wife and I were on a group tour of ethnic textile connoisseurs traveling through Morocco. I skipped the tour that day, hired a driver and spent the day at this place, photographing until sunset.

Nice lighting. The foreground pile of dirt doesn't add to the scene in my opinion. Perhaps a different crop or a different location for the shot would help.   Posted: 11/24/2025 19:49:30

From your description this sounds like an interesting city. I wish your image was able to get us closer to the city with less of a foreground.   Posted: 11/24/2025 20:17:03

It definitely is a beautiful Photo Travel image. For me, I will crop out the small dirt hill unless you are using it as a foreground, directing the viewer to the ancient city and the mountain.
You might want to crop out the disturbing half-grey satellite disk on the right.   Posted: 11/26/2025 23:26:15
