About the Image(s)

Why I took this image:
In September Carolyn and I made the trip to the PSA Photo Festival. Before going to Portland, we flew to Oregon a week earlier and toured some on the Pacific Coast and then spent three days in Seattle. Of course, no trip to Seattle is complete without going to the Space Needle. I liked this viewpoint from below and the starburst that I was able to capture in my image.

Camera Settings:
Creation Date: 09/20/2025 Camera: Canon, Camera Model: Canon EOS R5m2, Shutter Speed: 1/500, Aperture: f/13, ISO 120, RF24-105mm F4 L IS USM lens @24mm.

Post processing:
Normal Lightroom color adjustments. Sharpening and noise reduction using Topaz AI.

I like the perspective too, but I feel like there's too much vegetation in the image. I would try cropping out a bunch of it on both sides of the image.   Posted: 01/12/2026 10:39:33

It's always great to have something different in an image that's been taken so many times, and you accomplish that.   Posted: 01/12/2026 10:39:34

Like the starburst. Like the tree framing. Only thing that I would say is to make the sky and foliage pop. I generally have a CPL, but I think something similar can be done on the post too.

Nice image of the Space Needle. I agree that there is a bit too much vegetation in the image. It takes your focus away from your subject. But the camera angle is unique and sharp. Well done!   Posted: 01/17/2026 13:32:01

An image of a beautiful, iconic tower surrounded by trees, a clear sky, and the sunstar makes it even more beautiful and interesting.   Posted: 01/18/2026 01:28:13

The comments are well taken. The juxtaposition of the two circular objects is interesting and makes for a strong composition. I think that would be enhanced by cropping as shown.   Posted: 01/21/2026 13:10:42
