April 2026 - Fun at the Tidal Basin

This image was captured early morning on March 26, 2026 at the Tidal Basin for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The TV crew had set up studio lighting for the spokeswomen who posed with a fan. I captured the entire scene with the Jefferson Memorial in the background and the fan's friend captured an image of the women.
I took advantage of this wonderful lighting with my OM1 Mark2 with 12-40 II f2.8 lens at 20mm (40 full frame equivalent). The other settings include iso200, 1/25 sec exposure and F4.5. The image was loaded into LR and the profile change to adobe portrait. I cropped the image slightly.

The memorial is perfectly framed by the blossoms. You might have included a bit more of the photographer...cutting them off like that is a bit awkward. It looks chilly there, I wish we had gotten some of the east coast's weather...maybe not all? Posted: 04/03/2026 13:05:48
