I have been a serious amateur photographer for well over fifty years. For many of those years I have been active in a local camera club. My photography has gone through several phases. ( I will eliminate the family only phase.) In the first I tried to follow CC "rules." But when I realized that photography is a hobby, and the only one my work should please is me. In my current phase I seek to present an interpretation of what I see. If the communication has not occurred It is my failure. My personal art philosophy, should be mentioned so that the context of my comments may be understood. To me a photo taken for purposes other than as an aid to recollection of a beautiful spot, or moment in life is art. As such a literal reproduction is a catalog or postcard shot, which usually communicates nothing about the object. My approach is some type of abstract interpretation. I am always seeking to learn. Please do not be shy about making negative constructive comments, I will learn more from a constructive negative comment, them than a basically meaningless "nice image," without further explanation. Hopefully, I will follow my own philosophy. I also like to experiment. As we all know some experiments work, and others don't. Most of the time I just let the image tell me what to do.

I am a Luxembourgish artistic and portrait photographer by passion who have been practicing photography over the past two and a half decades. My numerous roundtrips to Latin America since the late 90's have opened and shaped my photographic style into a photographic approach. With black and whites portraying indigenous, documentary, people to street photography scenes, I found what inspires me most. During the past years I have been engaged in developing a more artistic portraiture. Christian Kieffer / GMPSA / PJD Galaxy 1.

I've been shooting photos and creating images since I was a kid. It is in the past 15 years that I have truly honed my craft. While I still have much to learn, I have worked to create a body of images that I can proudly share with others. From my foundation of wildlife photography to my current work with street photography, the goal of my work is to get people to react. It doesn't matter what the reaction is, whether pleasure or displeasure. As long as my images makes people think and feel, I've reached my goal.
I am at a place now where I need to get my work to a new level. In thinking about this statement, I suppose I'm always trying to ramp up the quality and creativity of my images. I am in a constant state of wanting to stretch my technical skills, my creativity and my knowledge of photography. That's why I joined the PSA and this image discussion group. Please feel free to be forthright with your comments.
