Tom, you are presenting a very colorful image of a GBH in a field of flowers. These birds can be found anywhere all around the world so they are not characteristic of any particular region, therefore does not comply with the PTD definition. However; it can do well in any color or birds discussion groups.   Posted: 04/10/2024 16:23:01

Tom, I agree with Isaac, this is a very nice "bird" image, but it would not fit the criteria for a "travel image".

Tom, I agree as well that the GBH is not representative of a certain place, however, in your description of the photo, you mention both the castle and the structure. I think it's quite likely that you sent in the photo of the GBH but meant to send a castle of sorts. Looking forward to seeing that structure.   Posted: 04/15/2024 00:34:39

Tom - some this has gone wrong here - narrative does not link to image.   Posted: 04/15/2024 10:38:09

Tom, Whether or not this fits the definition of a "travel photo," it is a lovely image of the bird in the bright patch of flowers, and it is extraordinarily sharp. The eye in particular is tack sharp, and the texture of the feathers is excellent. The bird stands out well against the dark and blurred background.   Posted: 04/25/2024 18:14:04

This is a really long lens, 800 equivalent on a micro 4/3 camera. The lighting looks like flash but at the distance seems surprising to me. Perhaps a "Better Beamer" or something was used. It is a good image, but I agree it does not meet the travel definition.   Posted: 04/27/2024 15:51:09
