About the Image(s)
In India, in Northern hilly region, women carry their children this way. The lady in the photo is going to the market carrying her daughter with her.

I like this image as a tavel image, it seems to show so much about the lives of these popl. The mothers clothinig of course but also the way she is carrying her daughter. I am pretty sure she created the backpack to carry her daughter out of plain cloth and it looks pretty effective. I might prfer that the modern construction tools were not in the lower left, but at this time even that is what you might see in her environmnt. Well done.   Posted: 03/22/2025 19:05:18

The vibrant colours of both mother and child add so much impact and as already mentioned - the eye contact with the little girl is the icing on the cake!   Posted: 03/25/2025 06:36:31

Vinaya - this is a lovely Travel image. It works because of the direct eye contact with the girl: that's what the story is about. The fact that her mother is looking away from you and that there is a non-helpful background all are neutered by the story being the girl carried by her mother. You don't need the top of the mother either as she is not key to the story. Well done!   Posted: 03/30/2025 08:33:59

What a sweet photo! The little girl's direct gaze at you is, as others have said, what really makes this picture. Well done.   Posted: 03/31/2025 00:56:50
