May 2025 - Amir Temur Mausoleum
About the Image(s)
We visited Uzbekistan in November 2022 and loved it - very interesting and its market holders are lovely! There are lots of impressive building well preserved/restored. This mausoleum is one of the most famous - the very successful ruler who died in 1405. This image has done well for me - particularly as a mono in PIDM. Taken with an iPhone, developed in Lightroom.

Adrian this is an excellent capture of this building. The image is sharp and I like the wide angle effect. I think it has been a little bit too much over-processed. There is an evident halo effect around the towers.
Best wishes

Impressive iPhone capture! The straightening has led to slightly unrealistic looking tops of the towers, but that doesn't take away from the grandeur of this building with lovely complementary colours.   Posted: 05/12/2025 08:30:59
Excellent architectural capture of an excellent monument. Lucky to have equally interesting sky. I agree with Michele, the image is over-sharpened creating halo at the top of towers. Except that an excellent capture indeed   Posted: 05/15/2025 06:36:27
Great, some images do well with symetry and some do not. This one does very well with the symetric image you captured. An excellent iconic photo travel image with the impact made greater with the advantage of being never seen by most people, or even most judges.   Posted: 05/22/2025 11:44:34
