July 2025 - Rio sunset

In April I was in Rio de Janeiro for work and took a couple of day off for visiting the place. We took a private boat trip in the bay and specifically asked to stay for sunset. We were lucky we had some great clouds, although the tip of the mountain of the Cristo Redentor (on the left) was hidden by those cloud.
Image taken with Nikon Z-7 hand held with Nikon Z 24-120mm (@24 mm), 1/125 sec, f/11, ISO 400, from the boat. This is pretty much an image out of the camera with few basic adjustments done in post processing (mild crop and straighten the horizon), open the shadow and decreasing hihglights.

Great light and sunset. Good cocllection of boats with the one on the left creating a center of interest. I consider this a good photo travel image but that statue on the mountain would make it very iconic. Exscellent sky and reflection, I have no suggestions. Posted: 07/04/2025 17:39:50
Good travel image. Good composition, perfect golden hour image. You are lucky to get good movements in clouds even at 1/125 speed. Posted: 07/06/2025 09:50:39
