About the Image(s)

Sony a6400 camera (APS-C) with 18-105 mm lens at 37mm (55mm equivalent), 1/500 “ f/7.1, ISO 100. This was taken at sunset. I suspect this could have been taken anywhere in the Middle East where there are dunes and camels, but I like the photo, so I decided to post it. The auxiliary photo is posted just because I like it. It isn’t site specific, either.

The lighting is perfect with the warm sunset and the shadows showing the ridges in the sand. I suspect there was no appropriate break in the line of camels, but cutting a camel at the edge of the frame is unfortunate. Judges are highly likely to suspect a setup and it may not score well in exhibitions.   Posted: 07/04/2025 17:25:33

Good light, diagonal composition, converging leading lines of sand dunes, blue sky at f/g of sun-lit sand dunes. But as Stan mentioned, LHS camel cut is unfortunate   Posted: 07/06/2025 09:46:02
