December 2025 - Giza Great Pyramid and the Sphinx
About the Image(s)
Shot with an Olympus E-M1, Mark III with Olympus M12-100 f/4 lens at ISO 200, 24mm, f/11, 1/800 sec. Converted to monochrome in Lightroom. I found a place to stand where I could use the Sphinx as the subject and the Great Pyramid behind it.

Wonderful image, wonderful composition, Stan. Very much impressed with the image. You have successfully captured such huge architecture image at such perfect perspective. Truly creditable! You were lucky to get an interesting sky too. Overall outstanding image!   Posted: 12/12/2025 06:38:27
Thank you, I hope judges like it as well.   Posted: 12/12/2025 11:10:35
Stan, as Vinaya pointed out this is a great composition for this famous and unique site. Since it is so popular to find an original composition is a challenge. I guess you did not convert this one in monochrome... (-:
The clouds are framing the monuments well and the big pyramid appears almost sitting on the back of the Sphinx as an optical illusion.
Well done
