Connecting with Buddha by Sherry Weinstein

January 2026 - Connecting with Buddha

About the Image(s)

This was taken on the grounds of the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. I was very moved by the intensity of the man praying and clinging to this statue of Buddha.

An example of a travel image doing a great job of documenting culture and ritual with emotion. Another excellent PTD Documentary image. This image would also be a treasure in a presentation of your travels. Any audience would connect with this image with emotion and respect.   Posted: 01/09/2026 12:21:51

Sherry,

this is a wonderful intimate image convey well the feeling of devotion of this person. His closed eyes match great with the close eyes of the Buddha statue.
A great image.

Best wishes
