This is the Gate House for the Carrouges Chateau that was built as not only a fine residence, but also an austere fortress. It even has a moat around it. This is just the gatehouse to get on the property. Perhaps guards and servants lived in this structure, but certainly not the family. The chateau was built in the 14th century but destroyed in the 100 years war. It was rebuilt in the 15th century but remodeled in the 17th when the gatehouse was built.

Nice, sharp image with perfect perspective. I wonder if a phone's small lens could really produce such a perfect perspective for such a tall structure, or if it was corrected in software. The light beautifully highlights the texture of the gate's walls and the clouds add interest to the sky. I really loved the composition. The symmetrical pathway creates a strong sense of depth and gives the image a pleasing three-dimensional feel.
The only thing I felt was that the blue tones seem just a bit oversaturated.
