The photo was captured during the Pushkar Mela in 2023. The camels in the background and the bright red turban immediately suggest that the photograph was taken in Rajasthan, India.
The old man was so engrossed in conversation, or perhaps, because of his age, was having difficulty hearing clearly. He was listening with complete attention, leaning in to catch every word. He was completely unaware of my presence.
I chose a low-angle perspective, carefully framing the shot so that the camels remained visible in the background while giving greater visual weight to the old man, who was the main subject of the photograph.

Vinaya - your low angle helps to make this shot. He is clearly a man you has lived in the desert. Your angle does put greater emphasis on him, his shoes etc, but the angles work so well up to the (his?) camels, with their heads above the horizon level. Fabulous! Posted: 09/11/2026 01:43:58
