June 2022 - Oregon Canon Beach from Ecola

About the Image(s)

Shot from Ecola state park on the Oregon coast of Canon Beach. ISO 400, 12mm, f/16, 1/320 sec. This park is a must when you tour the Oregon Coast. This is to the south, to the West is a view of Tillamook Rock Light, known as "Terrible Tille" for being perhaps the most dangerous lighthouse in the country. The park also has a picturesque old growth forest.

Stan, this is a very iconic image of the Oregon Canon Beach. Here you are giving us the additional gift of a storm in the right background (my right). The B&W interpretation gives additional character to the image. It is sharp   Posted: 06/11/2022 16:14:08

Wonderful view of Canon beach. Unfortunately, when I was there I never knew about this park. I guess you chose black and white because of the great clouds.   Posted: 06/20/2022 13:03:08

Wonderful image Stan! I don't know the area at all, but I do know your mono treatment gives us a very dramatic scene. While the sky has some interest, it does not say 'look at me'. The focus is all the beach rocks and waves. Thank you for posting.   Posted: 06/27/2022 10:36:44

Stan, I love the dramatic black and white rendition of this scene. So many textures!   Posted: 06/27/2022 10:49:20
