Alexander- your image shows so many parts of very interesting architecture in a river fronting setting. The lighting allows the detail to be enjoyed everywhere. My only suggestion is to work a bit on the sky/clouds just for it to be as interesting, not to overpower. You could also consider cropping from the bottom to tie it to the right-angle on the right side - below that doesn't contribute much.   Posted: 11/11/2022 14:47:06

A very impressive chateau, looks more like a very wealthy town or part of a city. This must of been a very prominent family. In any case it is a beautiful place with architecture that appears to be very French. An excellent travel image. I agree with Adrian, in properly exposing for the buildings, the sky has been washed out probablty a lot more than it really looked to you. I would bring up the details in the sky some.   Posted: 11/13/2022 18:17:32

Chateau de Chantilly is amazing piece of History, located in 35-40min by train from Paris Nord Station. Build of Chateau was started in 1358. The Petit Chateau was built around 1560 for Anne Montmorency (second family in Frace after King's Family).
Collection of Art one of the biggest in France, especially Franch Art, and I think this collection bigger that Louvre collection. Also, in Musee Conde (name of Museum) so big collection of books from 15 and 16 centuries... (I did calligraphy, when I was younger, so for me it was absolutely amazing place.
Also, many famous in France names in Literature and Dramaturgy lived in Chateau in different time, and represent in park in groups of Sculptures...
Most important, that were not too many people inside...
Adrian mentioned river on bottom, bit this is lake with swans, and behind buildings big park (and no smell of water at all)   Posted: 11/13/2022 19:36:54

Alexander, what direction is this from Paris. Our son and his family have moved to France and they are about an hour to the SW from Paris. I am wondering how far this might be for them.   Posted: 11/28/2022 17:50:35

Your image certainly shows classic French architecture and your camera skills record it in accurate detail. I agree with Adrian`s suggestion to trim some of the lower frame - it also makes the Chateau even larger in the frame.   Posted: 11/22/2022 09:31:50

Stan, train to Chateau de Chantilly going from Nord (North) railway station and going to North-North-East (I think) direction. From Nord Station, which is in North part of Paris to Chantilly around 35-40 km
