I particularly like the subdued light in the monestary. It sets the 'mood' to your image. I see you had a fairly large telephoto lens on when you captured the image. that accounts for the blurring of the monk in the foreground, as he was likely inside the minimum distance of the lens. But He could have been eliminated if you had chosen a different position perhaps by moving a bit to the right. Your use of a large aperture blurs the background for effect, effectively using depth-of-field, enhancing the 'mood' factor. The presence of other individuals eliminates any suggestion that the image was 'staged.' Nice shot.   Posted: 04/01/2024 11:32:15

Great image showing an emotional state of ? bewilderment. I cropped the image tighter eliminating what I felt were distractions. That is a heavy lens to carry around. If you want that much zoom you should look at the Sony RX 10   Posted: 04/04/2024 10:56:33

Doc, I think that is a typo. Most likely it is a 70-200 mm f/2.8 zoom lens.   Posted: 04/10/2024 16:51:41

Definitely good idea to crop out the out of focus person in the foreground.   Posted: 04/08/2024 16:02:35

Pam, great image of the young Monk. The expression on his face makes the image. Agree with Ed's crop.   Posted: 04/10/2024 16:52:10
