As I said to Vinaya, culture is the reason we travel, and your image does justice to that goal. It's sharp, well centered and colorful. I would have centered the figure on the floor a bit more to the center by moving a tad to the right when you created the image. Posted: 07/01/2024 14:41:07
Doc, I did some research as to become more familiar with the cultural and ethnic festival is San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, and to my surprise, you need a whole year to accomplish that since they have events every month of the year (http://www.experience-san-miguel-de-allende.com/san-miguel-annual-events.html).

Isaac, this is a reenactment of pre-Columbian culture done for the benefit of tourists. Mexico has an astonishing diversity of indigenous cultures and an infinite variety of festivals and ceremonies. San Miguel de Allende is still a beautiful town but it is now oveerpopulated with American expats. If you want to see authentic Mexican culture, go to Chiapas during Holy Week or to the little villages in Michoacán around Lake Patzcuaro during Dia des Los Muertos Posted: 07/07/2024 14:52:47
Your image introduced me to the new culture of Mexico & I think that is the main advantage of being in a group & the power of photography. Nice sharp colourful photo captured in good light.
