Rajasthani lady ( Rajasthan is one of the state of North India) is making roti on fire wood. The light was low & I didn't want to use artificial light. So I had to keep the speed low. It is evident from her hand movements

Good image. It tells a story, with the colors of the fire and the location inside a dark home and is well-framed. The only suggestion I have is on your technicals. You could have eliminated the blur of the subject's hand movement by using a faster shutter speed with whatever corresponding adjustments would have been needed to have been made with aperture and ISO, as you were close enough to achieve that. Otherwise, it's a very expressive image. The flame of the fire is clear and not blurry. Posted: 05/01/2025 14:41:39
Vinaya, I think that this image really shows the woman working in the kitchen given by the blurred movement of her left hand. Everything else is in good focus. The fire is not overexposed and indirectly illuminates her. Obviously, there is no precaution whatsoever to the effects of the vivid flame. Nice composition. Posted: 05/03/2025 15:34:04
