Title: Looking back from Ruins of Saint Paul's (first image)
The image was taken on my short (2 hours) visit to Macao. From the Ferry to the historical site, I walked by the Grand Lisboa hotel, passed through the 'souvenir street'. There were plenty of souvenir shops selling popular Pastel de Nata, cookies, pork jerky and more... The popular facade of the Ruins of Saint Paul's was busy with tourists. After climbing the steps, standing infront of the Ruins, I turned around and see the view of my journey from the Grand Lisboa. The iconic golden Grand Lisboa hotel standout calling for visitors, the souvenir street with taste testing booths along with resident apartment on the right. I enjoyed the walking journey more than seeing the facade of the Ruins of Saint Paul's.

Mandy, great image of the remaining ruins of this temple in Macau. I had the same subject but from different vantage points last September 2024. It is a very well attended tourist point and the Golden Grand Lisboan Hotel stands out from everywhere.   Posted: 05/09/2025 17:27:45

I liked the main image the most. Good sharp travel image   Posted: 05/15/2025 08:57:36

I like both the main image and especially original 1 which shows a bustling oriental street. I am a bit of a stickler for horizontal alignments of horizons and architecture, so I rotated your image a little to make the steps run parallel to the edge of the image.   Posted: 05/15/2025 15:55:54

In addition, one could explore a different composition that omits a lot of the negative space on the left.   Posted: 05/15/2025 15:56:50
