This old city in an oasis in the middle of the desert at the foot of the Atlas mountain range was made famous by “Game of Thrones.” My wife an I were on a group tour of ethnic textile connoisseurs traveling through Morocco. I skipped the tour that day, hired a driver and spent the day at this place, photographing until sunset.

Tom, a stunning image of an Atlas Mountain village. You don't say what time of day, but based on the colors, I assume it was around sunset, based on the colors of the buildings in the background and the colors on the foreground. the depth of field is excellent, and your choice of f11 insured that. If this was sunset, it's a good example of the backlighting effects at sunset. I assume that you shot that in manual, making the tripod necessary. I like sunset colors which I cheat to enhance by raising the Kelvin Temperature. I don't know if you did that here, as you don't give your WB. Based on this image I may now go out and buy the SONY F4 OSS lens. I know you like that lens and I can surely see why. Posted: 11/01/2025 06:29:17
