About the Image(s)

Multnomah Falls is Oregon’s tallest waterfall, a 620-foot cascade fed by underground springs from the Columbia River Gorge near Portland and it is the year-round iconic image (Main image) where you can see both tiers of the falls and the bridge which was built in 1914 (from the terrace at the lower part seen in Original 2). Taking a good hike, you get to the bridge and appreciate both the upper fall and the lower fall (Original 1 and 2). Of course, you cannot resist the temptation of getting a long exposure of the waterfall to obtain the silky effect (Original 3). All the images were created with the iPhone 13 Pro Max and PP in ACR and cropped. The long exposure effect is obtained directly on the iPhone when you take a picture with the Live feature on.

As you say, the scenery is worth the hike. All of your images from different perspectives likely made it hard to choose. And to get the long exposure effect without filters or manipulating settings takes all the guesswork out of photography. the shoes just seem to be getting better and better. I do however, have a suggestion and that would be to underexpose the image a tad. I don't know if the phone can d that easily. Doing so would have made the colors a bit bolder.   Posted: 11/03/2025 13:58:08
