This image was created in the Goby Desert in the south of Mongolia (the desert covers parts of the North and Northeast China and the south of Mongolia) during the Camel Festival that takes place in the winter (March). People use camels as ways of transportation, sports and business. During the festival many event related to the camels occur: Camel and owners beauty competition as well as owners best and most elegantly dressed (Original 1), Camel race (Original 2) and Polo on Camels (feature image).
Nikon D4s with the Nikkor zoom lens 70-200 mm f/2.8 @ 90 mm and with these settings: ISO 1000, f/4 and 1/8000 sec (forgot to reduce the ISO from earlier in the day before sunrise). The image was PP in LightRoom and cropped. A stroke was added.

Isaac, these are wonderful travel/action images. They are sharp, colorful and interesting. Great compositions in all three. And as always, I learn a lot from your descriptions. You wrote: "A stroke was added." What do you mean by that?   Posted: 07/01/2021 13:56:26
Isaac interesting image from a remote part of the world. Good focus, plenty of colors, nice action, however, I would chose the Original file. this image to me is not a well defined mix of antique costumes and modern helmets.   Posted: 07/08/2021 09:09:59

Love this Isaac - made by your timing with clear action, but importantly one of the rider's faces clear. And you have 3 players/camels which helps!   Posted: 07/10/2021 12:01:34

Great action and exotic, interesting culture. Looks like not too many tourists were around.   Posted: 07/11/2021 14:47:43
