Tea Ceremony in Kyoto, Japan by Tom Tauber, APSA, MPSA

January 2026 - Tea Ceremony in Kyoto, Japan

About the Image(s)

Many tourists in Japan are taken to a tea ceremony. The one we went to last October was a classical one, where we and our group dressed up in kimonos and were taught the proper behavior in watching the ceremony and drinking the tea.

Tom, my wife and I also enjoyed the whole classical ceremony of the Tea in Kyoto, but we did not wear a kimono. We did drunk the tea. You included the performer and the whole parafernalia in your image. Nothing distracting. Image is sharp.   Posted: 01/15/2026 11:26:44
