If you were to enter this image in a Nature exhibition, it would probably get an acceptance. Judges like to see animals doing something and weigh the action with greater force than the technicals, although here, I don't see any problem with your technicals. The image is well-exposed, depth-of-field good, everything is in focus, but I do think it could have been improved had you compensated slightly towards the negative to better enhance the colors.   Posted: 08/01/2026 10:07:09
This is the first time I've come across these tortoises. The two main tortoises have been captured beautifully, almost as if they're having a conversation. However, I feel the overlapping third tortoise takes away a bit from the composition. Then again, considering how slowly tortoises move, you probably would have had to wait for hours for the third one to leave the frame! 😄   Posted: 08/06/2026 09:52:49
Doc, the Islands name Galapagos derives from the species of giant tortoises. As the say, three is company !! Image is sharp. it shows creatures in their natural environment.   Posted: 08/06/2026 20:32:37
