October 2026 - Shepard Of Himalayas
About the Image(s)
The shepherds of Range Of Himalayas live a rugged life, tending their flocks across the vast, high-altitude landscapes. Guided by generations of knowledge, they move with the seasons in search of pasture and water. The interesting fact is they communicate with their sheep using different types of mouth whistles.

This is a very impressive image. You have excellent depth of field with everything in view, in particular, the clouds rolling. off the mountains in the distance. Your colors are vivid and the scene itself has its own story. The landscape itself is impressive. You have an excellent image.   Posted: 10/04/2026 19:01:48
Vinaya, what a wonderful image full of color and detail, and telling a good story. Obviously you did your hiking to be there. We have 2 separate stories, The life of the shepherd, and the life of the hiker in front of the herd. The river guides your eyes directly to the hiker. Image is very sharp and nicely composed.   Posted: 10/05/2026 09:55:40

This is a great photo travel picture and if it were mine I would enter it into competition. It tells a story of a remote place where people work hard to make a living. The trees on the right add color to the image. The creek is a leading line that the ye follows into the distance. The man with the backpack and the stick is shown stepping forward which gives the image a sense of motion. The sky seems a bit blown out. If you shot this in RAW, perhaps you can recover some details by using the highlights slider. Excellent.   Posted: 10/09/2026 14:37:21
