October 2026 - A Summer Vacation
About the Image(s)
Lewes, Delaware is the first City in the First State located at the mouth of the Delaware Bay. Originally, it was a sailing community with elegant victorian homes for the Captains and then a Menhaden fishing and processing center.
Now it is a town with a beach and a summer destination according to the NYT travel section. Because of the state tax structure it has become a retirement destination for senior citizens from the mid Atlantic who have high real estate taxes.

A nice vacation image and interesting subject matter. The image appears to my eye to be a bit overexposed, washing out the colors. Posted: 10/04/2026 19:06:37
Doc, this is a good capture of a mother and her three children on a scooter (a little risky though) anytime at any place. It is very colorful and sharp. Good for PTDW. Posted: 10/05/2026 09:49:35
The joy on the faces of all four rekindled memories of childhood vacations. Such a lovely image, Dr. Loved it! Posted: 10/06/2026 08:22:47
