Beautiful shot. It's nicely captured and tack-sharp. I really like the spread-out wings which show nice texture. The crop looks fine too, with some room for the bird in front of it.
In my opinion, the only thing which could improved it is if the bird was approaching the camera, so that the second eye is more visible.   Posted: 06/13/2025 21:36:09

I really like this. Not sure I have seen a sharp image of a Burrowing Owl in flight before, and I have spent many hours shooting them myself (though not recently). I actually started my photography hobby at the Salton Sea and I'm embarrassed at how long it has been since I went there.

It's important to remember that these birds are maybe 6" tall, so this is a real feat. The eye is very sharp and the wings look sharp, despite the spread. I can't tell whether you blurred the BG or if you have that much Bokeh, but I like the effect.

The owl is incredibly sharp, especially its head and piercing yellow eye, which is absolutely critical for a compelling wildlife portrait. You can discern individual feathers and their intricate patterns. I am good with POV but then again you can't control these things. Excellent Photo.
